Stages of sterilization
Step №1
Disinfection
The instruments are disinfected in a 5% solution of Surfanios lemon-fresh for 15 minutes. This solution neutralizes:
- viral hepatitis A, B, and C;
- HIV infections;
- herpes simplex virus type 1;
- influenza viruses;
- сandida (fungus);
- bacteria of tuberculosis, staphylococcus, escherichia coli.
Step №2
Cleaning
Pre-sterilization cleaning is carried out in order to remove protein, fatty and mechanical contaminations from the tools, as well as to remove remnants of the disinfectant solution with a help of brush under the running water. Shouldn’t flush the instrument straight after the procedures and flush a whole bunch of viruses down the drain. That is why the sequence mentioned above is very important!
Step №3
Packaging
Tools are dried and packed in the kraft bags after rinsing. Kraft bags are used for sterilization, as well as further storage of tools until customers arrive. They can be utilized for steam and gas sterilization. There is an indicator that indicates sterility. The device for air-tight pre-sterilization packing helps to pack the tool.
Step №4
Sterilization
The last step is sterilization of the working tools in an autoclave under the steam at 134 ° C. In our case, there is a class B autoclave, which is relevant in the field of medicine and dentistry. It is suitable for the sterilization of medical instruments of any shape and material. After the sterilization, all the instruments are stored in an ultraviolet cabinet. They are waiting for customers. It is important not to skip any step of sterilization and follow its sequence:
- disinfection in 5% solution of Surfanios lemon-fresh;
- pre-sterilization cleaning under the running water;
- sterilization in an autoclave under the steam at 134°C;
- storage.
